Tirades to Persuade

On Monday we bade farewell to the philanthropic segment of our trip and switched over to tourist mode.  We departed the North at around nine in the morning with Etosha National Park as our destination.  Although we were on the bus from essentially 9:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M., we weren’t driving that whole time.  Etosha National Park resembles the terrain one would expect to see on Animal Planet or Discovery Channel.  Within a few hours in the confines of the park, our bus had already seen springboks, impalas, oryxes, giraffes, elephants, and zebras galore.  It felt like we were truly in the “Africa” pictured in biology textbooks and geography class.  Personally, I fought through a real first world problem on the bus when I wanted to look outside at the rare animals while also wanting to read A Game Of Thrones.  I’ve been engrossed in the book, so I…
