It’s being reported that the passwords of more than 6m LinkedIn users might have been compromised. If you’re one of the many authors who have a LinkedIn account, you might want to think about changing your password as soon as possible. Also, if you use that same password for other services, you should probably change those as well.
LinkedIn hasn’t confirmed the claims, saying only that they’re currently investigating. But security experts such as Graham Cluley of Sophos are advising users to take action immediately. If someone gets your LinkedIn password, and if you use that same password for other services (such as email or your KDP account), they could get into those other accounts. The sensible thing seems to be to change passwords immediately.
