Sometimes when researching exciting and innovative technologies in eco-fashion, it’s a bit discouraging… will it ever really work? Many concepts are interesting and novel in the development stages but are not always realistic in their use on a larger scale. Take for instance, biocouture (previously talked about here). It seems like a great idea but then you look deeper and learn that this material can only be worn in very dry conditions and limited circumstances. I start to wonder if it will ever be practical.
So whenever I come across another article or new piece of information on something it’s very exciting because it shows that people are still actively working on improving the technologies and striving toward a future of usability.
